A Moment with the Butterfly

Pemphero Malunga sat quietly among the weeds that grow on the shore of Lake Malawi. A butterfly fluttered past and caught her attention. She held out her hand, her gaze focused on the fragile creature that hovered above her hand for an instant.

For a moment, it looked as if the creature would land, but a breath of wind lifted the butterfly up, and without haste, it flew on toward the horizon.
