The Catch of the Day

In the village of Ngara in northern Malawi, two boys sit on a rock in the lake, high above the water. They stare intently at the fish, strung on a string, that they caught themselves that morning while fishing from different spots on the same rock.

Their expressions are a mix of concentration and curiosity as they silently count their catch together, the sun warming the still water around them.
